Homework
One of the key aims for children in year 6 is helping them to transition from primary to secondary school. At secondary school children are given regular homework for each subject each week, much of which is online in this modern era of technology.
For Maths, students will need to use the White Rose Infinity app majority of the time, which is accessible from any app store or through their website: White Rose Infinity. Additionally, for spelling practice, encourage your children to utilise EdShed Spelling, which offers engaging games and tasks linked to their weekly spellings at EdShed Spelling.

A reminder that I need you to be reading at least three times a week. This way, we can improve your vocabulary knowledge and you speed. When reading, please spend at least 30 minutes to really make a difference and for your reading to be meaningful. Next Thursday (9thOctober) we are holding our annual harvest assembly. Year 6 will be leading the assembly and have been given a script. Please practise your parts over the weekend so you can read and speak clearly on the day. |
