Children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable every day to encourage healthy eating.
All children may bring a mid-morning snack. To help children to follow a healthy diet, these should be low in sugar and fat - fruit and vegetables are ideal.
Milk in school
Children who are 4 years old are entitled to a free 1/3 pint of milk a day which they will automatically be offered each day. We also run a school milk scheme for 5-11 year old (provided by Cool Milk). Parents pay for the milk, which is kept refrigerated in school and handed out to the children during morning break. For more details on this scheme and how to sign your child up, please click here.
Drinks of water
Drinking plenty of water during the day is great for a child's physical and mental well-being. Children should bring a named bottle of water with them in the classroom to drink from. Fresh water is available from water coolers throughout the school.
